Tuesday, August 12th, from 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Callbacks, if needed, will be scheduled for Wednesday, August 13th starting at 6:30 PM and scheduled via the email you provide on the audition form.

Actors who cannot make this time can submit a self-tape. All self-taped auditions will be reviewed by the Director and Producer. Video submissions will be accepted until 8:00 PM on August 12th. Send video auditions to production@iowastage.org. For those who send a self-tape, remember to fill out an audition form.

First Table Read: Friday, August 15th at 6:30 PM

First Rehearsal: Monday, September 7th at 6:30 PM. Rehearsals will generally be Sunday-Thursday from 6:30 PM - 10:00 PM
Tech Week: Begins Sunday, October 12th

Performances: October 17, 18, 22, 23, 24, 25 at 7:30 PM & October 19, 25, 26 at 2:00 PM

The director of the show will be in the room, with possible additional ISTC personnel for reading and other duties.

Auditions may be videoed for later review.

If the audition sign up slots are full, you may come as a walk-up, but understand that we will be giving priority to those with a slotted time. We will fit you in as time allows.

All roles are open to all ethnicities, and LGBTQ actors and actors of diverse backgrounds are encouraged to attend. ​

Characters:
​
DODGE - This role has been cast The ailing patriarch, worn down by age, illness, and alcohol
​
HALIE - (60s) Dodge’s wife, still active and energetic compared to Dodge, though clinging to her past
TILDEN - (40s) The eldest son, mentally fragile and emotionally broken after years of trauma and hardship
​
BRADLEY - (Late 30s-early 40s) The middle son, aggressive and domineering. His missing leg (from a chainsaw accident) symbolizes his vulnerability beneath the surface
​
VINCE - (Early 20s) Tilden’s son, returning after several years away. He’s trying to reconnect with his family and find his place in their troubled history
​
SHELLY - (Early 20s) Vince’s girlfriend, sharp and assertive. She’s an outsider struggling to understand the bizarre, unsettling family dynamic
​
FATHER DEWIS - (50s) A local minister, somewhat awkward and ineffective, with questionable morals​​​
